Conditions

• The German and math courses can also be booked individually.

• The current course can be joined at any time, provided there are places available.

• The course fee must be paid before the first course date.

• Participation in the course can be terminated at the end of each quintal without incurring any further costs.

Aim

The aim of this course is a long-term preparation for the entrance exam to Kurzgymnasium and HMS (same examination). The longer time horizon gives the teachers the opportunity to lay a good foundation in all areas relevant to the exam and to work with the students individually on their gaps.

Program German

Phase 1 (September 2024 - February 2025): 

Improvement of basic skills

• Writing a lot (without text type theory)

• Text comprehension exercises, reading texts, answering questions (oral & written; without using specific reading techniques) 

• Spelling/orthography

• Mixed exercises for language improvement

• General vocabulary exercises without vocabulary theory

• Positioning tests

Phase 2 (March 2025 - August 2025): 

Acquire theoretical knowledge, understand and apply theoretical concepts 

• Writing with application of text type theory

• Reading (more complex) texts, answering questions (oral & written); with application of specific reading techniques and 

• Furthermore: Mixed exercises for language improvement

• Comma rules, punctuation in direct speech

• Vocabulary theory & exercises (word field, word family, synonym/antonym, generic/subordinate term)

• Theoretical grammar & exercises

• Positioning tests

Phase 3 (September 2025 - February 2026): 

Exam training

• Finalize exam material in all areas

• Writing texts based on exam examples

• Reading (more complex) texts & answering questions based on exam examples

• Vocabulary tasks based on exam examples

• Grammar tasks based on exam examples

• Practice exams

• Complete simulation exam

Phase 3 (September 2025 - February 2026): 

• Review and consolidate exam material in all areas

• Solve examination tasks
