General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

  1. Validity
By making a binding registration for an “Ans Gymi” course, you acknowledge and accept the present General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of “Ans Gymi”.

  2. Course registration
Registration for a course usually takes place via the website, but is also possible by telephone or e-mail. Registration is considered definitive and binding for both parties as soon as the amount owed for the course has been paid (see below for cancellation policy). You will receive a course confirmation from us by e-mail.

  3. Conditions
    3.1 Half-year gymnasium preparation courses

The payment deadline for course fees is usually 30 days after registration. However, the course fee must always be paid before the first course date. This applies in particular if registration is made less than 30 days before the start of the course. If payment is not received on time, the place will be released. As a rule, you will be informed by e-mail before your place is released, but there is no entitlement to such advance information.
If you cancel up to 14 days after the start of the course, half of the course fee will be refunded.
After 14 days from the start of the course you will not receive a refund.
    3.2 Long-term gymnasium preparation courses
As a rule, invoices are issued at the earliest 45 days and at the latest 30 days before the start of the course of the following quintal; the payment period is 30 days. However, the course fee must always be paid before the first course date. This applies in particular if the new registration is made less than 30 days before the start of the course.
Participation in the course can be terminated at the end of each quintal without incurring any further costs.
3.3 Individual one-to-one and small group lessons
    The following prices apply:
    - 1 student CHF 140
    - 2 students CHF 100 per student
    - 3-4 students CHF 80 per student
Invoices are issued monthly at the end of the month. The payment deadline is 10 days.

  4. Information on the courses on offer
You can find the current range of courses on our website (www.ans-gymi.ch). The detailed content, prices and key organizational data of the courses can be found there. The information on the website is binding unless we inform you otherwise by e-mail.

  5. Teacher absences
If a teacher is unable to attend one of the course dates, they will organize a replacement. If no replacement can be organized due to a short-term absence (illness, etc.), you will receive a pro rata refund.

  6. Absences and lateness of students
    6.1 Courses

If a student is absent from lessons, there is no entitlement to a refund, regardless of whether the absence is self-inflicted or not. In the event of absence due to illness, a deregistration for the corresponding lessons is appreciated, but is not mandatory. So that the student can work through the missed content in the best possible way, both he/she and the parents will be informed by e-mail about what content from the materials has been covered and what homework has been given. The student and his/her parents are responsible for ensuring that the missed content is worked through independently.
If students are late: Lessons begin and end at the scheduled times in any case. No claim can be made to make up for missed lesson time.
As a rule, it is not possible to postpone course dates and there is no entitlement to this option.
6.2 Individual one-to-one and small group lessons
Absences must be reported at least 24 hours before the agreed lesson. In the event of illness, lessons that are excused by 10 a.m. will not be charged. Absences that are unexcused or excused too late will be charged in full.
Lessons generally take place either in fixed time slots or on individually agreed dates. The postponement of a fixed lesson is possible in exceptional cases. Requests for a postponement must be made at least 24 hours before the agreed lesson.
If students are late, the lesson will end at the agreed time. The entire agreed lesson will be charged.

  7. Online delivery of courses
If the courses cannot take place on site due to an official order (e.g. in the event of an epidemic/pandemic), they will be held online. In this case, there is no right to a refund or other claims.

  8. Cancellation of courses with too few participants
“Ans Gymi” can cancel courses with too few participants (the minimum number of participants for each course is stated on the website). In this case, the course fees will be refunded in full. No further claims for compensation can be made. If a course is canceled, we will be happy to inform you of other courses that your child could attend.
Alternatively, “Ans Gymi” can offer to run the course under different conditions.
We will inform you at least 10 calendar days before the start of the course if the course you have booked will not take place or “Ans Gymi” offers the course under changed conditions. If you do not receive any information regarding the course, the course will be held as normal.

  9. Exclusion of students for disciplinary reasons
If a student increasingly disrupts the course of lessons and if discussions with the student and his/her parents do not bring about an improvement in behavior, the student in question may be excluded from the course. In this case, there is no entitlement to a refund of the course fees paid.

  10. Disclaimer
At “Ans Gymi”, students are optimally prepared for the Gymi/HMS exam or their individual goals. However, passing the exam or achieving the goals is of course dependent on numerous factors that we cannot influence. We therefore accept no guarantee or liability whatsoever in the event of failing exams or failing to achieve targets, especially grade targets; in this case, there are no claims for reimbursement, compensation or other claims.
